Garnett, sources say, wants to move to a warm-weather city and a team that can claim legitimate championship potential. All of which should help explain why the Suns are No. 1 on his list. (Source: ESPN)
This would change the complection of all players involved in this trade just as it would if Kobe were to get traded, which many believe to be less likely.

Some believe the Amare at 24 years old is the only player T-Wolves will accept for KG in his 30's. As if the age difference and fan draw for Amare alone isn't enough Atlanta's unprotected pick would also be required.

I think the only way KG wears purple & orange is if Phoenix will increases its efforts between now and Thursday's draft to assembling a Stoudemire-less package to satisfy Minnesota's requirements, perhaps by pulling in another team or two.

If this happens, many in other NBA towns may think Robert Horry's value goes up too.

Aside from the last tongue in cheek comment, Thoughts?

FBF Draft Lottery Winners: Wildcats & T-Wolves

[Selected for Blogger Buzz Week of May 21st, 2007]

#1 W Michigan Wildcats
#2 Wall Street Bulls (to T'Wolves)
#3 Seatown Rebels
#4 Brazil Amazons (to T'Wolves)
#5 Danish T'Wolves
#6 Singapore Singularity
#7 Philly Blacktop Legends (to Wildcats)
#8 Los Angeles Rush (to Fusion)

Wildcats a big surprise at #1 with the pick that landed the #1 overall having a 5.3%
chance at the big prize. In contrast, there is no surprise that T-Wolves are a major
player in this year's draft after trading away every and any recognizable name on his
roster. However, with BOTH Oden & Durant stating they want to fulfill the NBA dream
as so many do, he may have made the moves just at the right time.
After the 1st two picks that seemed to be decided as soon as Oden donned an Ohio
jersey and Durant sported a Texas jersey for the very 1st time; the rest of the draft
is far from decided, but it seems deep enough to get a decent player even outside
the top 8 as listed above.

The Draft Lottery

After a disappointing NBA Play-offs especially for Phoenix & Dallas fans at least Phoenix has something to look forward to in the off-season. Perhaps more so than other teams because of the projected #4 pick coming to them to satisfy the Joe Johnson trade. However, at this point Joe Johnson would have come in more handy than the #4 versus San Antonio.

Some of the players Phoenix will take a hard look at are:

Yi Jianlian 7-0 242 PF China 1984

Some say he is the 3rd best player in this draft. Will teams know this before Phoenix picks? Phoenix may very well take a risk on him if they decide to keep the pick and draft him based on his skill set that seems to fit Phoenix's style well.

Al Horford 6-9 245 PF Florida Jr.

The only reason he may not be taken by Phoenix is his due to his playing style. The pros are he has an NBA ready body, but most of his moves are back-to-the-basket - which Phoenix would prefer not to play.

Brandan Wright 6-10 210 PF UNC Fr.

Can he run? Although not at the same level as the aforementioned teams especially as evidenced by Redd's recent explosion (Making the team look like a one man show). Milwaukee also will have multiple players fill the stat sheet, however, up to now it has been at different times.

Now it's your turn readers. Set me in my place or defend my choices. The argument is simple, what current NBA TEAM helps fantasy owners MOST? You can take style of play, or coach or anything you think will cause the team to help a player more on one team as opposed to another.

H<><

News from the Suns Front Office

You don't have to go look very far past the logo to know that Fusion management looks up to the Suns organization in many ways. In fact, the Fusion logo may be one reason for a premium on Suns players coming to Phoenix and one reason for a lack of Suns representation on the Fusion team, but that story is for another time.

This story is about a player of interest, Amare Stoudemire. The news on him here in Phoenix is not very promising...

D'Antoni's post-practice comments Tuesday were some of the most revealing ones to come from the organization in the past year of tip-toes.

"He went normal today and stuff but it's day to day," D'Antoni said. "Hopefully, he can make it. I don't see why not. We just have to have patience and let him work through things. He's not there.

"Somehow, he's just got to get through the stiffness or the soreness or whatever. I just don't know what it is. He's going to have to do it. You know what? It might be two or three months. He's not going to hold us back. We're going on. Whenever he's ready, he's ready.

"Right now, we can't figure him in because we don't know. If he makes some progress, we'll be able to put him in. Right now, we've just got to figure out how we go forward in this situation."

Phoenix responded with a collective gasp at D'Antoni's comments...did he say "two or three months??"

Now the hope is that last year is not repeated again this year.

Even though Stoudemire is wearing red in our league, I still root for him and hope for the best.

New Faces

After bringing the Phoenix area their first basketball trophy many would think Fusion management would try to keep the team in tact for at least another run. Instead, Fusion fans saw one of their busiest summers with 9 completed deals so far and in the flurry, long time starter and prior face of the organization, Jermaine O'Neal, was traded for four players and 2 picks. Jermaine is a proven star with impressive statistics, but not without his risks going down in the FBF play-offs for Phoenix time & again.

Some fans may ask why all the action? Two Words:

Luxury & Tax

Because of cap concerns and the dreaded luxury tax, Phoenix was forced to orchestrate trades for players that would not even see the Phoenix Fusion practice court. After all the dust settled some new faces stuck around and are expected to share in the exitement of opening day:

Andrew Bogut - Has huge upside and did well as an NBA rookie big man. NOTE TO ROSEVILLE: His fingers make a "J" for Jump Shot.

Hakim Warrick - Should see a significant playing time increase especially with Gasol breaking his foot in the World Championships. We should get a good chance to see his skills in action.

Adam Morrison - Another player with huge upside and a favorite to claim ROY

Josh Childress - The talent is there it's the opportunity that may be lacking being on a team crowded with wing players.

TJ Ford - Another player with huge upside and will be given sole duty of running a team. Has shown to be a remarkable player with remarkable heart.

These guys along with the core of Gilbert Arenas, Ray Allen, LeBron James, Dwight Howard & Emeka Okafor Fusion fans should be plenty excited for next year's possibilities in both the regular and post-season.

Busy Off-season

The Phoenix Fusion have made a flurry of deals this season and expect to make 3 more deals just today!
